Outside Sales Representative – Hiring Bonus

idc-Automatic is looking for a full-time Outside Sales Representative with a proven, high-level customer service experience to serve our residential customers.  We offer the best products, service, and warranties in the industry.  You are an effective communicator who is hungry to grow in this role and company.  This role will be focused on sales for residential homes.  Prior experience with garage doors is not required, only a great attitude and a can-do mentality.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage customers that visit the idc-Automatic showroom.
• Follow up on leads and opportunities that arise from multiple sources including website leads and leads from our service team.
• Drive profitable revenue with new and assigned accounts.
• Determine customer needs and appropriate service and products.
• Research market for new and existing products.
• Participate in creation of personal sales process and sales story.
• Participate in setting goals and quotas.
• Achieve goals and quotas using planned sales process.
• Document actions and progress in CRM.
• Manage pipeline and report progression through the sales cycle.
• Create quotes or check quotes for accuracy and deliver to customer.
• Become an expert on existing and new products and services.
• Resolve customer concerns in the field and escalate to management when appropriate.
• Work with team (including Supply Chain, Warehouse, Customer Service) to support customer needs.
• Attend and work trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with new customers.
• Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors.
• Cold call new customers for existing and new products and services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience required or a combination of education, training and experience.
• Proficient computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.  CRM and/or ERP experience preferred.
• Must be a motivated, driven, self-starter.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Experience reading blueprints preferred.
• A high level of attention to detail, organization, time management and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  Strong relationship building skills required.
